The images presented were taken in the 1990's. Taken as prints, there is degradation when going from print to digital images.  Also, where we were traveling sometimes delayed processing for weeks or months and humidity played havoc with the undeveloped film. Still, I wanted to share our experiences through the pictures we took.

Enjoying a late summer in Norway

Sept. 97. Austra, another of our favorite anchorages. Snug and comfortable. We waited out a gale here and we barely knew it was happening. And as was typical, we were alone.
Sept. and Oct. 1997.  Spending September and October cruising around the dense scattering of islands between Bergen and Stavanger was a marvel.  Having daylight until after 10 PM was very convenient.  We could easily island hop from one anchorage to another without much stress.  There was always a safe harbor when bad weather threatened, and with the absence of other boats, we didn't have to fight for a spot or a place to anchor.  So many harbors, so many anchorages, so many islands.  Apart from the fact that winter was so close, and we didn't know where we were going to spend it, we had a great time!!

We could get out and hike the island here. Looking down on our anchorage in Austra. Just beautiful.

The typical scenery we saw cruising along Norway's waterways.

We tied at a free, public-land dock in Uskje. Very secure. This is the view from Bijou's deck. Sharing the anchorage with a typical fishing boat, Wild swans were everywhere.

We waited out a gale in Uskje and once it abated, we were treated to this rainbow.
