The images presented were taken in the 1990's. Taken as prints, there is degradation when going from print to digital images.  Also, where we were traveling sometimes delayed processing for weeks or months and humidity played havoc with the undeveloped film. Still, I wanted to share our experiences through the pictures we took.

Georgia to North Carolina on the ICW

10/25/2021

August 1992.  Traveling north on the Intercoastal Waterway gave us a very special perspective of the United States.  Interesting towns and people, plus fabulous scenery entertained us nearly every day.  One thing we kept an eye out for was a place to spend the winter.  Not only did it have to be safe for Bijou, we needed to able to find work.  But hey, it was still summer and it was still warm so we kept heading north.

Aug. 92. In Elizabeth, North Carolina, we were greeted by the "Rose Buddies." A wonderful tradition of welcoming new boats with a red rose to the lady onboard. The town also offered free dock space. What a warm welcome!!
