London, England

January 1997.  We couldn't be in England and not visit London.  Mind you, it would have been a little nicer to go at a time when it was warmer, but we had a blast, and there were fewer tourists, so in that regard, it was better.  We saw all the obvious sights.

Downtown London, Big Ben. What a sight. Our first taste of being a tourist in a place that we'd seen and heard about all of our lives. Here we were--in person!!

Does Carl look cold? We were, but this is the Tower Bridge. How cool!! Being able to see all these sights made it worth doing in the cold.

Tower of London. We were able to get inside and spend a few hours. Interesting exhibits and history.

January 1997. We also took the opportunity to visit Greenwich. Lori is straddling the two hemispheres at the Prime Meridian.
