The images presented were taken in the 1990's. Taken as prints, there is degradation when going from print to digital images. Also, where we were traveling sometimes delayed processing for weeks or months and humidity played havoc with the undeveloped film. Still, I wanted to share our experiences through the pictures we took.

Sept., 1991. The MiraFlores Locks are the first set of three locks in the Canal. On our first day in the Canal, we only went through two locks. Between lock two and three there is the Pedro Miguel Boat Club and we planned to stay there for a couple of weeks. Wonderful colonial building where there were showers, laundry, and communal kitchen, which we used along with others who paused their transit to enjoy the beautiful amenities. Ships transiting the Canal passed only a couple hundred yards from us. Great entertainment all day, every day. Never tired of it. Really cool!! Comments are closed.
