The images presented were taken in the 1990's. Taken as prints, there is degradation when going from print to digital images.  Also, where we were traveling sometimes delayed processing for weeks or months and humidity played havoc with the undeveloped film. Still, I wanted to share our experiences through the pictures we took.

July, 1994.  We spent several weeks in Maine and one of our favorite places was Roque Island.  It's rugged and gave us a sense of being very remote.  We probably weren't, but when you're on the water, sometimes the hurly, burly of land seems a long way away.

Lori and Bijou. We loved heading ashore and exploring. It was our favorite pastime.
Picture
Bijou anchored in a bay on Roque Island.

Even though cold and damp, exploring the island was always fascinating.

Different cruising situation here. Cold, damp, lots of fog, tricky currents. All this was new to us, but Roque Island was every bit the adventure we look for.
