The images presented were taken in the 1990's. Taken as prints, there is degradation when going from print to digital images. Also, where we were traveling sometimes delayed processing for weeks or months and humidity played havoc with the undeveloped film. Still, I wanted to share our experiences through the pictures we took.
Dawn on the Delta As much as we loved the Delta, we wanted to spend time in San Francisco, so we left the warmth and headed back down to the Bay. We anchored back in Aquatic Park in front of the city and took in all the sights. Then did some sailing in the bay keeping a better watch on tidal changes and currents. One place became a favorite--Angel Island. Good hiking, secure anchorage in Ayala Cove and a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the top on the island. When we got our fill of touring around we headed to Municipal Marina right downtown and started talking to people who were planning to sail to Cabo San Lucas. What a neat thought!! September 1989. Part of the fixtures on the island. Fun place to hike. Angel Island was a military installation from the Civil War until after World War II. Now is has may visitors that come by ferry or their own boat to experience the beauty of the Island. We enjoyed our visit here. Mary, Don and Carl on our bike tour of Napa Valley and wineries. While in San Francisco, we met friends Don and Mary Bradbury for a bike tour of Napa Valley. What a fun way to see that area!! Once we were toured out of the San Francisco area, we headed south again to Dana Point. After hearing about all the plans to head even farther south, we decided to do the same. After a month of preparation and outfitting Bijou for foreign ports, and getting married!! we headed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Comments are closed.
