The images presented were taken in the 1990's. Taken as prints, there is degradation when going from print to digital images. Also, where we were traveling sometimes delayed processing for weeks or months and humidity played havoc with the undeveloped film. Still, I wanted to share our experiences through the pictures we took.

March 1992. Marion and I had a great time during their visit. It did come to an end though. Their last night in Belize, they got a room at the local hotel so they could repack, get organized, and take a for-real shower. We ate dinner there too. Saying goodbye was tough. We had such a good time and Bijou felt empty for a few days after they left. Good sports and great fun. Snorkeling was beautiful on Ranguana Island and the weather was glorious after those first few days of rain. April 1992. Our time in Belize was not over. We had a few other places we wanted to visit. We wanted to do some diving and snorkeling before we left. Ambergris Caye was a place where we bought dives through the local resort on their dive boat. We also did a lot of snorkeling on our own. Of course, the big "bucket list" experience came when we sailed to and anchored at the Blue Hole. This phenomenon is out in the middle of nowhere and although there is a reef around it, we felt very exposed and vulnerable to any weather that might decide to blow through. We thought when we anchored, we'd be stuck just snorkeling it, but our luck came through and a dive boat anchored there, too. We jumped in the water ahead of them and did the 130 ft. tank dive while they were around. This gave us some security for such a deep dive and it also gave us the opportunity to get our tanks filled right there before they took off again. What luck!!! April 1992. Ambergris Caye was our last stop in Belize. White sand streets and truly tropical feel.
