The images presented were taken in the 1990's. Taken as prints, there is degradation when going from print to digital images. Also, where we were traveling sometimes delayed processing for weeks or months and humidity played havoc with the undeveloped film. Still, I wanted to share our experiences through the pictures we took.
August 1992. Traveling north on the Intercoastal Waterway gave us a very special perspective of the United States. Interesting towns and people, plus fabulous scenery entertained us nearly every day. One thing we kept an eye out for was a place to spend the winter. Not only did it have to be safe for Bijou, we needed to able to find work. But hey, it was still summer and it was still warm so we kept heading north. July and August 1992. This 1,000 mile journey meant we had many stops along the way. Great new places and experiences that filled our journals and our cameras. Even with as many entries as we made and as many pictures as we took, we could not document it all. There were challenges and days we should have stayed on the boat or anchored well away from civilization, but in all, we loved the trip and we were very happy we had the time and the means to experience it. |
